The sandal is made of EVA, a lightweight material commonly used in shoe manufacturing, especially for shoe soles. It's a versatile and relatively durable type of foam that is lightweight and waterproof. EVA offers good shock-absorbing properties.

Please note that we only recommend 0.5 cm of extra space in this type of sandal. The sandal won't fit well if, for example, there is 1 cm of extra space. Since the room for growth should be less than in other types of shoes and sandals, it's likely that the sandals should be purchased one size smaller than other shoes/sandals.
